Yo Gotti was relatively quiet for the entire summer but he is changing that like the seasons as he drops his brand new mixtape Nov 19th. The title of the project signifies his upcoming album release date, and with that still months out we’re not complaining with brand new music today from Gotti. This tape features the likes of Meek Mill, Shy Glizzy & more.
Many doubted if this day would ever come, but Lil Wayne has come through and delivers his new mixtape, Dedication 5, hosted by DJ Drama. Like every tape in the series, Weezy has borrowed some of the hottest instrumentals in the industry and added bars of his own. Though this isn’t 2008, there is no reason not too check this out because after all, it is Weezy F. Baby and he can still channel that old mixtape spirit if he really wants to.
Some guests on the fifth edition of the series include, The Weeknd, Chance The Rapper, T.I., Birdman, 2 Chainz, Vado and more. Stream the tape after the jump.
In anticipation for her upcoming DJ Drama Gangsta Grillz mixtape titled She Got Game, Rapsody unleashes her star studded collaboration with Phonte and Jay Electronica. The soulful groove finds all three trying to outrap each other and Jay Elec on another feature, which has been the most we’ve seen in one year (possibly ever).
And from out of the blue, DJ Drama announces on Twitter that a new Lil Wayne mixtape is on the way. No details are really revealed besides that but he emphasizes fans to stay patient. Maybe they’re still in talks and Weezy hasn’t even cut any tracks yet. Either way, based on his tweet, don’t expect anything any time soon.
For the time being, you have Dedication 4 to hold you over until then.
After the success of his last effort, DJ Drama is back and ready to put out some more Quality Street Music this year. Today, Dram takes us from Atlanta to Memphis teaming up with the turn up kings, Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti and Juicy J on this new Drumma Boy produced club banger “4 What.” Serving as the first offering from his upcoming Quality Street Music 2 LP, Barack O’Drama gives us yet another Summer anthem for the new year, but this time around it’s for the ones who stay turnt up to the max on the regular basis. If you rocking with this joint, turn this shit up til the knob broke cause it’s a definite banger.
It’s never a bad day when we can get a new EP from Young Jeezy, and today he drops “#ItsThaWorld.” Unlike his last mixtape (of the same title) this features some of his younger CTE signees like Doughboyz Cashout and YG. Regardless, we still get some brand new music from El Capitan heading into the summer, and you can’t complain about that.

Blue Hefner blessed the streets with “V.6: The Gift” over the summer with features from ScHoolboy Q, Loso and Kiss which received generally positive feedback. Something that a lot of people were probably disappointed with was ending 2012 without Pusha T’s new mixtape he continued to tease. He has been active though, as we saw the surfacing of the Rick Ross-assisted “Millions“ single last week. The G.O.O.D. Music heavyweight is back in the state of mind by revealing the official artwork for Wrath Of Caine. The release date for the project is still unknown, but check back for more information as it comes.
We’ve been looking forward to this mixtape from the Boogie Down Bronx’s own Denzil Porter as we get “Porter’s Pot” (not hosted by DJ Drama). “Not Hosted By DJ Drama” is for up and coming rappers who think they need a co-sign to help launch their rap career with the mixtape letting the music speak for itself with the homie Drama taking a sarcastic approach after tracks to make fun of the haters. For this project, the bulk of the production is handled by Claws with help from XLNCE, C-Fresh and Da IllFellaz as we see features from C-Fresh, S Taylor, M Parks along with skits from Jack Thriller.
