In a newly released commercial from Beats By Dre, we see the Doctor in the studio with none other than Kendrick Lamar. In the spot, the two are working on an unknown song in the lab, but Dot wasn’t quite feeling the energy of it. The two take a break after working late and regroup at a later time, then Kendrick hits the barbershop to show some of the homies what he was cooking up musically. By the end, Kendrick links back with the Doc in the booth and spazzes out on the track after they added better drums.
No word on what project or even where this song will end up and we hate to speculate, but would it be safe to assume that it would be for Kendrick’s next studio album.
Or maybe Dr. Dre is ready to shock the world in 2014 with that album that we won’t mention the title of.

For those paying attention to what Chicago has been offering in recent times, Dally Auston’s last project The Wood still stands as one of the city’s most prized releases this year. Looking ahead to his upcoming short-length, the Save Money emcee lets go of a brand new single titled “Save It” as an example of his newest work, keeping to his lane of sincerely smooth rhymes over production from Smoko Ono. Don’t forget that Dally’s forthcoming Westside EP will be released on January 30th.

Having made a return to music after two years, Arctic Monkeys‘ most recent album AM has been one of the standout albums of 2013, but like we’ve seen on numerous occasions, the UK band aren’t quite finished yet. Evidently a B-side of “One For The Road,” we’re given another loose track in the form of “You’re So Dark,” following up with somewhat of an opinion on a female character. If you’re an admirer of falsetto, you’re sure to be impressed with the familiar final product of their latest release.
Listen after the jump.

Before the year comes to an end, one of the most anticipated projects still waiting to be released is the collaboration between Busta Rhymes and Q-Tip. Appropriately named The Abstract & The Dragon, Busta chose to break down the creation of the upcoming body of work, speaking on the artwork representing each of the artists’ legacies, with the image and colors reflecting on what A Tribe Called Quest stood for, as well as what him and Q-Tip are planning to continue. The music is set to be an embodiment of what the two have put together over the past 26 years.
