Zach LaVine Revisits All-Star Weekend with Monster Slam

Is Zach Lavine the NBA’s best dunker?

Since resurrecting the NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest two weeks ago, Zach LaVine has been gaining recognition and bringing more attention to the city of Minnesota. With Kevin Garnett rejoining the team last week, the Timberwolves have been one of the sexier teams to watch in recent weeks. During a routine recovery turnover steal, LaVine was out on break in the open court to cock the ball back on a solo finish.

On initial glance, the dunk seemed like a regular showcasing of his insane vertical abilities; but take a look at the rim’s reaction after his throw down. The T-Wolves would unfortunately lost the game, in a 101-97 finish to Marc Gasol’s 27-points for the Memphis Grizzlies, but those in attendance got a glimpse at Zach taking flight once again.
