The 2015 NBA All-Star Sprite Slam Dunk Contestants

What seemed to be the marquee event at every NBA All-Star Saturday Night seems to be getting less and less attractive, after checking out this year’s Sprite Slam Dunk contestants.

Among those who will be taking the court to compete for the trophy include the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo, Timberwolves’s Zach LaVine, the Magic’s Victor Oladipo and Mason Plumlee from the Nets. Last year’s winner John Wall will not defend his title again, so the trophy will be handed to a brand new contestant in 2015.

With the rules always changing and confusing both the contestants and fans watching, this year, the contest will feature two rounds and no time limits. Each player will get two attempt two dunks in the 1st round and the two with the highest combined scores will advance to the final round where they will get two dunks each in the head-to-head round.

The dunk contest will take place on February 14 at Barclays Center as part of NBA All-Star Saturday night in New York.
