Showtime Championship Boxing: Adrien Broner vs. Paulie Malignaggi | Tonight At 9

vbc
No Sleep Until Brooklyn, as Paulie Malignaggi defends his WBA Welterweight Title against Adrien Broner.

With the amount of trash-talking going on before this big fight tonight, you would think Floyd Mayweather Jr. is involved; but tonight’s tale of the tape features Paulie Malignaggi defending his WBA Welterweight title against undefeated Adrien Broner. Broner is guaranteeing a knockout tonight, which could potentially be Malignaggi’s first ever in his career; but the hometown hero is ensuring he’s giving Adrien his first loss ever.

Both fighters are obviously taking an overly confident (not cocky) approach in tonight’s showdown, but we’re wondering if either are using the talk to make up for the lack of focus heading into the ring. Some are skeptical whether this was too soon to move up this fast in weight classes, but in his past experience, Broner’s been fighting opponents nearly twice his size in amateurs. We’re expecting Malignaggi to play the point system in a stick-and-move fight style looking for a slip up; while Broner will be looking for a knockout.

Be sure to tune in tonight as this fight emanates live from the Barclays Center, Brooklyn, New York. Watch Live On Showtime at 9:00pm ET/PT.
