The All-Star point guard is back
Less than a month after fracturing his right hand on a rebound play, Russell Westbrook will make his return to the Oklahoma City Thunder lineup Friday night as they take on the New York Knicks. Scott Brooks confirmed the news earlier today.
Westbrook will be wearing a brace on the injured hand and was seen with it on during shoot around. Reggie Jackson took over the point guard role for him in his absence and will now come off the bench. The Thunder went 4-11 during the time Russ was out of the lineup.
Unfortunately, Kevin Durant is still sidelined and will continue to show his support for the team from the bench. The All-Star forward is not ready to make his comeback to the court just yet.
