Rihanna Doesn’t Want CBS To Play Her Song on “Thursday Night Football”

FUCK YOU CBS!

After CBS pulled the plug at the last second on Rihanna and “Run This Town” to kick off the premiere of Thursday Night Football, Rihanna doesn’t want any take-backs.

Amidst the controversy with Ray Rice, the network took precaution in airing “Run This Town” as part of their intro because of her own experience on the issue, but it’s too little too late to act like things are normal and go back to regularly scheduled programming.

Apparently, CBS thought one week was enough for the situation to blow over and they could continue with their regular intro this Thusrday, but Rihanna wasn’t having it. She took to Twitter earlier to put them on blast and give them the middle finger because she was clearly offended for being “penalized” for something she had no part of.

Now, the network is backpedaling after Roc Nation revoked the right for the network to use the license to the JAY Z, Kanye West and RiRi single:

Due to the misuse and misrepresentation of Rihanna’s name and participation in connection to CBS’ ‘Thursday Night Football,’ CBS was not allowed to license and utilize the song ‘Run This Town.

And CBS is picking up the pieces from their mistakes:

“Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open,” the network’s sports division said. “We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast.”

Nice try, CBS.
