Welcome to Lillard-era of Portland!

The Portland Trail Blazers are having one of the worst free agencies ever, losing arguably the league’s best post-man in LaMarcus Aldridge in his imminent signing with to the San Antonio Spurs. However, to give fans some insurance with looking forward to future signings and/or acquisitions, the team has agreed to give Damian Lillard a new five-year, $120 million maximum extension deal of his rookie extension. This comes just hours after the team announced their signing of Al-Farouq Amino to a four-year, $30 million deal.

The team is now likely to miss the 2016 playoffs next April, but have a few pieces to attract a future big man down the line. The soon-to-be 25-year-old star point guard has never missed a game in his three year career with the Blazers, and saw his points total per-game rise to 21 a night.
