Must See NFL Sunday: Week 16

We only have two more days of NFL 2012 regular season football play left being today and next Sunday. NFL playoff pictures are still not final as we have four big games on today with huge playoff implications on the line. Last night, a non-playoff team stole the limelight for the time being as Calvin “Megatron” Johnson broke Jerry Rice’s all-time single season record for receive yards to give him a total thus far of 1,871; 23 more than the everyone’s “GOAT” had. Detroit’s currently last in the NFC with a record of 4-11 as the Lions will look to get better in the off-season with a high pick in next year’s draft.

Speaking of records, Adrian Peterson chase for the single-season rushing record continues as he’ll be going up against that fierce defense down in Houston today. He’s still around 300 yards Eric Dickerson’s record but Peterson could reach the 2,000-yard mark today. He’s rushed for 100-yards in eight consecutive games as he’s coming off a 212 yard performance last week against the Rams and needs 188 yards to reach 2,000.

These stories along with the ones after the jump for some great foosball those west of the Atlantic love; should entail for some great holiday football. Check after the jump for our top picks to watch today along with our picks for each game. Happy Holidays!
