Monday Night Football: Giants/Redskins Preview

NY Giants at Washington
Time: 8:30 PM (ET) | Tonight

For the final game of NFL Week 13 which we witnessed a wild week off and on the field as the Jets went to a third-string quarterback to win a game, Andrew Luck’s gaming winning drive and even the Baltimore Ravens struggling with the Ben Roethlisberger-Less Steelers. Tonight, we have the game of the week on deck here as RG3 and the Skins of Washington DC play host to the Super Bowl champion Giants of Joisey. The Skins are on the cusp of reaching .500 as the unreliable Cowboys are only a half game back at 6-6.

A Win here tonight for the team could make things extremely interesting in the NFC East with the Giants only up 1 game in the win/loss category above the Cowboys and Redskins. The Philadelphia Eagles have virtually fallen out of playoff contention losing their last 8 straight at 3-9. In this game the Redskins’ secondary is going to have to come up big to stop Eli Manning and the Giant wide-outs if they want any shot at winning.

For the Giants on defense, they’re going to have to rush and put pressure on RG3 who will have Pierre Garcon back in the lineup who wasn’t present in their previous match-up against the Big Blue. Redskins LB London Fletcher and LT Trent Williams are both listed as questionable as both didn’t practice at all last week.

This game is EXTREMELY important for the Redskins to win as they host the Ravens next week in another big game which won’t be an easy dub as well. Tonight, AT HOME, I look for the Redskins to pull the upset against the champs even with the Giants now almost at full strength.
