Marshawn Lynch Is Returning To Seattle With New Deal

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals

BEASTMODE BACK

After not getting handed the rock at the Super Bowl on a running down and subsequent whispers that he’d retire from the NFL, Marshawn Lynch has decided to come back for at least one more year and return to the Seattle Seahawks.

The one-year deal is worth $11 million dollars, with incentives like a $9 million signing bonus and $1 million roster bonus to go along with the $1 million base salary.

BEASTMODE is still a big part of the Seattle offense, who will try to make another run at the Super Bowl even after losing their defensive coordinator and possibly key parts of their secondary. If they can lock down some holes on the team through the draft and free agency, they’ll be tough to beat.

UPDATE: On top of the 1-year deal, Lynch has signed an extension for 2 years, paying him up to $30 million dollars over the next three seasons. This could potentially make him the highest paid running back in football, depending on Adrian Peterson’s situation and whether he’d restructure his deal to play for a new team. Either way, there’s a reason he calls himself Money Lynch.
