Kam Chancellor Saves Seahawks 2015 Season after Destroying Calvin Johnson’s Soul

One missed call ends one season & saves another!

Whenever the Seattle Seahawks have a Monday Night Football game against a respectable team, we normally expect a controversial ending if the meeting is close. Last night was no exception as the team hosted fellow NFC rival, the Detroit Lions, in a must-win game for both franchise.

As the Lions remained winless, the Seahawks were looking to avoid an 1-3 start, as their superstar running-back Marshawn Lynch had to sit out – due to nagging injuries. Throughout the MNF affair, both teams suffered from a lack of offense, as Russell Wilson almost blew the game with a late 4th quarter fumble to give Detroit good field position for a potential game-winning drive.

However, the Legion of Boom had their biggest play of the year thus far, as Kam Chancellor prevented Calvin Johnson from scoring on the 1-yard line. After the initial ball strip, Seattle linebacker K. J. Wright batted the ball out of the end zone, which was initially missed in live-action.

According to the NFL rulebook, no player on either team can bat a ball in either end zone, which is an automatic 10-yard penalty in favor of the team with the ball possessed. While the play wasn’t reviewed, it should have been ruled an illegal batting from Wright.

This one missed call has saved Seattle’s entire season to potentially make a run for home field advantage and end any hope for the Lions to make a run, now at 0-4.

Megatron is re-introduced to the Legion of BOOM!
