Jameis Winston Finally Explains The Crab Leg Incident

Draft Academy: Winston meets with Jim Harbaugh

Former Heisman Trophy winner, Jameis Winston is most likely set to be the no. 1 overall pick in next Thursday’s NFL Draft. Earlier today, the Florida State quarterback made an appearance on ESPN’s Draft Academy, for a player evaluation with Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and Jedd Fisch in Ann Arbor.

During the brief sit-down clip above, Winston opens up for the first ever on the infamous crab leg scandal from last year, where he walked out of a Tallahassee supermarket without paying for $32 worth of seafood.

After explaining an arrest and two incidents that got him suspended in school before he turns pro, Jameis finally detailed the crab leg incident, where an employee at the grocery store hooked him up with the crab legs and crawfish for free after a birthday party with a mutual friend from a week prior.

A store employee told security that he didn’t pay for the food, as Harbaugh bluntly explains how Winston needs to approach the situation moving forward as professional in the elephant in the room clip above.
