Jalen Rose Explains Stories From New Book on The Breakfast Club

First thing’s first, congrats go out to Jalen Rose and David Jacoby for landing their ESPN radio show after years of grinding on the Grantland Sports podcast tip.

Aside from that, Jalen was up at The Breakfast Club to talk about his new book Give The People What They Want, which happens to be his slogan on the podcast. If you’ve watched/heard his show before, that’s how he starts every show. You know, but screams it out.

On the show, he talks about stories from the past like the time he got shot at on some 50 Cent shit, the Fab Five documentary, growing up in Detroit, and even opened up about his father and how he fell in love with basketball in the first place. His Pops was Jimmy Walker, the No. 1 pick in the 1967 NBA Draft, and seeing footage of him playing, was the reason he got into basketball.

They also talked a little bit of music, the Stephen A. Smith and Kevin Durant beef, college athletes getting paid and more. You can check the full interview up top.
