With election week approaching, ESPN decided to dedicate their November issue of “ESPN the Magazine” to the District of Columbia. One of the cities most beloved athletes, Wizards point guard, John Wall was picked to be featured in this video as he shared his early basketball life, improving his game and hoping one day to be a future hall of fame player.
Last season, John Wall (The NBA Cam Newton) was victim to much criticism as his team missed the playoffs with the 2nd worst record in the NBA struggling to win 20 games. Some would call this a sophomore slump, but his numbers last season correlated with his phenomenal rookie season putting those assumptions to sleep.
Now with the no. 3 pick of the 2012 draft, Bradley Beal, John Wall will have more options this year with a supported back-court partner along with an improved front-court with Emeka Okafor and Nene. We’re all pulling for Wall’s success but it starts with management continuing to put legitimate talent around him in a highly competitive NBA this upcoming season.
