Last week, ESPN Film’s documentary series 30 for 30 continued their Volume II collection with “Hawaiian: The Legend of Eddie Aikau.” The nearly 80-minute film chronicles the life and times of big wave surfer and lifeguard Eddie Aikau, who was lost at sea over 35 years ago in March of 1978. Former professional surfer, writer, director and screenwriter Sam George handled directorial duties, which the story features dramatic reenactments, interviews from his closest family members and friends and also rare archived video imagery that’s never been seen before to the public of Eddie surfing.
