Are the bulls on the verge of losing home court in the first-round?

Yesterday, the Chicago Bulls were home for a inter-conference match-up against Chris Paul and the Los Angeles Lakers. During the opening minutes of the second half, Jimmy Butler would collide with DeAndre Jordan and quickly grab his shoulder. Butler was immediately taken out the game for further evaluations from trainers.

The team soon held an MRI on Monday morning, which revealed Jimmy had a Grade 2/3 ulnar ligament sprain, as well as a small bone impaction injury. Chicago would announce they would be without their team leader in points (20 a game) for a maximum wait time of 6 weeks. He’s expected to be evaluated on a weekly basis, but the team could take precautionary measures, like they’re doing right now with Derrick Rose.

With his offensive responsibilities drastically increasing, Butler has seen a decrease in his dominance on the defensive-end of the floor. Head Coach Tom Thibodeau will now have to rely on Pau Gasol, Aaron Brooks, Kirk Hinrich and the heart of the team Joakim Noah to carry them until the stars return.
