Atlanta Hawks Lose Kyle Korver for Remainder of 2015 Playoffs with High Ankle Injury

The Hawks look for plan-b in fight to remain alive in ECF’s

During the 2015 regular season, the Atlanta Hawks played some of the best team basketball we’ve seen amongst all franchises and achieved an impressive 60-win record. However, their play unfortunately didn’t transition to the post-season, as the dirty birds have performed severely sub-par in comparison to their Cinderella season.

Struggling this post-season, Atlanta has dealt with a season-ending injury from Thabo Sefolosha (thank the great NYPD) and DeMarre Carroll guarding LeBron James with a tender knee. During game two against the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday, Kyle Korver would dive for a loose ball during the final seconds of the third quarter and injure his leg when Matt Dellavedova accidentally fell on his foot. After negative MRI results following the collision, the team decided his injury was severe enough for him to miss the remainder of the NBA Playoffs.

Currently down 0-2 to Cavaliers, Korver’s help defense and sharp-shooting will leave a major void in the Hawks on both ends of the floor – which could lead to an imminent sweep by this Tuesday night.
