The New Orleans Pelicans‘ season ended when the Golden State Warriors officially swept them out of the first round of the playoffs on Saturday night, but it was a good experience for the young team. Nobody gave them a chance to even make it in the tough Western Conference, and they managed to sneak in by beating the San Antonio Spurs in the last game of the regular season.
Even Anthony Davis averaging a double double in the playoffs couldn’t help the Pelicans, who just didn’t have enough firepower against the Splash Brothers and Golden State.
We bid farewell to Davis and The Brow with his Top 10 plays of the year, much of which include plenty of lob passes for alley oops, blocks and even a game winner. With a few roster moves, New Orleans can be higher up the seedings by next year, so don’t count them out again.
