An NFL Executive Received Ray Rice Video In April

This will not end well for the NFL

The hot seat keeps getting hotter for Roger Goodell this week, with more reports coming about his remarks concerning if the NFL had seen the Ray Rice elevator video prior to the TMZ leak. Today, AP reported that law enforcement sent the video to an NFL executive in April, but it is unclear as of this moment whether Roger Goodell had knowledge of the incident.

In his recent interview with CBS This Morning, Goodell denied all allegations of watching the clip prior to Monday, something many people have been questioning since the full tape surfaced. There have also been reports contradicting his comments about the NFL reaching out to the casino for the video, saying they were never even contacted in the first place.

Although the timeline of when exactly they asked for the video from law enforcement (and were denied) is still being sorted out, as the days go by, more and more people are calling for Goodell’s impeachment for what may possibly be the league turning a blind eye to the situation. No matter which way the truth may fall, it seems like the controversy continues going from bad to worse and the damage is done in the eyes of the public. This is truly the NFL’s worst nightmare.

Do you think this was an NFL cover-up gone wrong or will you give Roger Goodell the benefit of the doubt until more reports surface?
