Hearing The xx’s take on on a festive Christmas song may sound unusual at first, but they do so with sheer elegance. The band took a trip to the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, where they were set to perform a special mystery cover. The track turned out to be Wham!’s “Last Christmas”, ready to put us into a joyful spirit with just over a week to go before the big day. You’d probably agree that a set full of seasonal covers from the London group wouldn’t sound too bad at all.
