Stephen Colbert Interviews Eminem on Public Access Television

This is for you Michigan

Stephen Colbert hasn’t had a television show since December because he’s been plotting on the Late Show takeover this fall on CBS. Taking over for David Letterman is no small task. In between preparing and his new show, he’s also been taking some time away from the camera. If you haven’t seen vacation Colbert with that beard, you need to Google that. Now, in the most random of places, Stephen has showed up on public access television hosting a show called “Only In Monroe” for Monroe, MI.

It’s just as boring as the segments you see on TV during lunch hour. Community calendars, news about the town, random news that you don’t even care for. What makes this specifically interesting is the fact that Eminem showed up as a special guest.

During their interview, Stephen tested Em’s Bob Seger musical knowledge by making him sing some of the songs he named off, asked him about his upcoming movie Southpaw, and overall confused the shit out of him by talking random nothings. Colbert didn’t even give him a chance to perform “Phenomenal” like he was supposed to, but happened to close out the show with him.

Watch the very random 40-minute VHS show above. Eminem starts at around 22:00.
