Through the musical ups and downs that fans suffered this year, there were still some highlights. The major players didn’t release albums, but that means there was more time to discover new talent. New artists emerged from out of the rubble and some even became overnight sensations. It seems like we saw more of them rise from out of the blue and become household names.
Even though others didn’t enjoy that type of success, they built a good track record and look to capitalize off of it in 2015.
Here at OnSMASH, we always try to keep our eyes peeled for new talent and good music to showcase. Whether it’s rappers, bands, R&B singers or whatever the case may be, artists still catch our eye depending on our tastes. Some of our picks that we discovered this year, you may be familiar with, some you might not know of yet. Either way, these are just some artists we enjoyed throughout this year and look forward to hearing the next. You’ll probably find a little for every taste, with some prospects to keep an eye on.
