MMG’s newest signee, Rockie Fresh was the next artist to stop by Hot 97 and chop it up with Peter Rosenberg on “Rea Late.” In the clip, Rockie dicusses his start in 2010 dropping his first mixtape “The Other Side” which he discusses moving the city to suburbia showing a greater appreciation for alternative rock music which both Patrick Stump and Good Charlotte reached out to him showing love for his rap-alternative music.
Rosenberg jumps into saying Chicago now is defined by G.B.E./O.T.F. which Rockie goes onto saying he respects their movement saying its reflective of what’s going on in the streets in the wild hundreds. Rockie also speaks on how he got signed with MMG with both Diddy and Rick Ross trying to sign him as well. The two close out speaking on how MMG is flooded with album releases this year from Ross, Wale and even Stalley but Rockie still feels he can release his album next winter which he has a good buzz currently at the moment.
