Friday afternoon, Reminisce Smith, better known as Remy Ma was finally released from prison after serving 7 years. When she finally touched down to the city, Remy immediately hit the studio with long-time cohort DJ Khaled to record an official remix for his popular single “They Don’t Love You No More.” Now with the monitored phone limit gone calling gone, Remy called into Hot 97 for her first post-prison phone interview with Funk Flex to discuss future plans.

She opened up touching on her first day out wanting record music after seeing her family members nearly every day during her time away. The musically intrigued Bronx rapper discussed her reconciliation with Fat Joe, but made it clear she was an independent artist and already has plans to work with DJ Mustard and more hot producers in the game.

Before things closed out, she revealed wanting to do records with Meek Mill, Rick Ross and a female record with Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea and cited Azealia Banks reaching out to her.
