OS Flashback: Tha Eastsidaz – G’d Up (feat. Butch Cassidy)

Back when the Y2K scare was over and the year 2000 was in full effect, Snoop Dogg formed a group with Tray Dee and Goldie Loc called Tha Eastsidaz. They were a big staple out West, so much that they spawned a platinum album with their debut, Snoop Dogg Presents… Tha Eastsidaz. As heard on their lead single “G’d Up,” they kept it true to the West Coast sound, with production from Battlecat, Jelly Roll, Warren G and Soopafly.

Unfortunately, the trio disbanded after their sophomore album when Snoop left and Tray Dee caught a 12-year prison sentence for attempted murder. One time for their musical contributions to that classic West Coast history, though.

You can’t spell West without the E-S.
