Today, MC Lyte has released a new video for “Dear John,” as a collaboration with Common and 10Beats. The track is the anthem for the Educate Our Men scholarship initiative, which is a huge part of her Hip Hop Sisters Foundation, supported by the likes of Russell Simmons and Faith Evans. The piece aims to charge black fathers and sons, with images of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King and more, also serving as the first single from her upcoming album.
