Jermaine Dupri no longer a managerial item with MiMi, but we’re hoping for future collaborations.

Mariah Carey has officially parted ways with long-time manager, Jermaine Dupri, but the two still remain friends and plan to continue recording material together. Following the underwhelming performance Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse had on retail and iTunes, Billboard is reporting MiMi is working with 300 Entertainment founder and former Def Jam head, Kevin Liles.

Coincidentally, she fired fellow producer Randy Jackson from managerial duties; but even with the addition of Jermaine, the project still had a lackluster opening week of 58,000 to debut at No. 3 on Billboard 200. Highlighted by singles “Beautiful,” “The Art Of Letting Go,” “You’re Mine (Eternal)” and “You Don’t Know What To Do,” the album has gone on to sale 103,000 copies following its May 27 release. Continue after the jump for an official statement from Mr. Dupri.

“I’m a very hands-on person when it comes to my work, I put my all into every project. But when I’m not allowed to do what I do, then I know it’s time for me to move on. Mariah and I enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future.”
