After taking a hiatus from releasing music, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are finally back putting out new material. Ahead of their performance at the MTV Video Music Awards this weekend, the Seattle duo return with “Downtown,” their brand new single with credits from Kool Moe Dee, Eric Nally, Melle Mel and Grandmaster Caz. The song is a follow-up to “Growing Up (Sloane’s Song)” with Ed Sheeran earlier this month.
Hooks don’t get much more triumphant than this.
