It’s been a long absence since we last heard a full project from the singer-songwriter, but you can certainly hear the maturity of JoJo’s music growing with age. After a lot of her attention was focused on her acting career, the 21-year old is back to making music with her sophomore mixtape titled Agápē. You will probably be wondering if this is the same artist who brought you “Too Little Too Late”, as JoJo produces one of her best offerings to date with a smartly furnished body of work and coinciding artwork. She lets her musical influence be known from greats such as Joni Mitchell and Andre 3000, whilst working with the likes of Elijah Blake and Austin Brown. The 13-track project gleams with the sense of smooth and funky R&B, which makes this an automatic introduction to our discography.
