Dr. Dre Recalls Recording Music With 2pac

Ice-T’s documentary was in select theaters months ago but for those who didn’t catch the film, VH1 will give you the opportunity to watch it from the comfort of your own home this Thursday night. In this preview clip, Dr. Dre recalls working with Tupac in the studio and explains his recording style, saying ‘Pac would go inside the booth and write his rhymes in there, then do his verse in one/two takes like an absolute rapping machine.

Then he would tell Dre to throw another beat on and do it all over again. God bless 2pac for recording all those songs before he passed and leaving fans with material to last lifetimes. We’re talking about the original recordings too, not the remixed garbage.

Something From Nothing: The Art Of Rap airs Thursday at 9:00 PM ET/PT on VH1.
