Coachella Organizers Looking to Create NYC Music Fest

SoDoSoPaNYC!

In the past, the NYC area had struggled to secure major music festivals, but thanks to the Michael Bloomberg era (see: clip above), the gentrified and modified city could be landing another event to complement its annual Governors Ball showcase. The New York Daily News previously reported that Coachella could be coming to Queens, but event organizers A.E.G. quickly shot down rumors regarding a move from Indigo, California. However, A.E.G. is planning to bring a new event tentatively titled Panorma to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens.

The event could have its inauguration as early as next June, two weeks after Governors Ball and would be the park’s biggest event since Worlds Fair. We’ll keep you updated on any more news regarding an official press release for Panorma in Queens.
