Since the release of her 21 album at the beginning of 2011, it’s been hard to get away from the heartbreaking lyrics of “never mind I’ll find someone like you“. Adele has released critically acclaimed singles from the project, which include the before-mentioned “Someone Like You”, “Rolling In The Deep”, “Set Fire To The Rain” and many more.
Nearing the two year anniversary of the album, it’s been revealed that the North London songstress has sold over 10 million copies of the LP alone. The milestones that her sophomore album continue to reach are ever-increasing as the months go on – being only the 21st album to reach diamond status, which is ironic to say the least. 21 joins Usher’s Confessions and Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory by selling this amount of albums by 2012. The album was positioned in the Official UK Album Chart Top 40 for 22 months, after dropping out of the list for the first time earlier this week.
