It’s been a minute since I’ve gone back to revisit The Wire, but every time I watch it gets me motivated about life. Now even more, because the critically acclaimed HBO series will be televised in HD for the first time ever.
That means we’ll all be able to see every shootout, hand-to-hand, abandoned house kill and alley scene in crystal clear high definition real soon. Not to mention the fact that the show will be playing weeknights on HBO Signature at some point this Fall. You can’t be mad at that. Marlo, Snoop & Chris, Bodie, Michael, Avon and Omar make the entire 5 seasons worth it.
Apparently, the original September 4th date that had been reported was a little premature and HBO is not done screening the HD episodes as of yet, but we’re sure they’ll bless us with more details as soon as they’re ready.
So if you’re one of the folks who hasn’t quite came around to watching, you have no excuse now. And for those who have watched the series already, it’s your civil duty to make sure all your friends are up on it. For the sake of humanity.
