Taylor Swift may be on top of the musical world, as is Karlie Kloss on the supermodel side of things, but they have formed an unlikely bond during the past year. The two were introduced through Lily Aldridge and were always compared to each other, not only because they’re both tall and blonde, but because their personalities matched. Once they finally met, they knew how similar they were.
VOGUE dug deep into their friendship in the March 2015 issue of their magazine, exploring exactly why they click and how Taylor has formed an alliance with powerful women in different industries since moving from her hometown of Nashville to New York City.
Although she briefly touched on how the media depicts her as a serial-dater (you know, because she wrote all those songs about her ex-boyfriends), Swift swears she’s taken a step back from love and she wants more of that independence in her life. She’s been spending more time with her friends, girls like Lena Dunham and Cara Delevingne, even with her busy schedule.
Kloss says no matter where in the world she is, Taylor always writes back right away and when news breaks, she’s the one to text her before anyone. That type of bond is what they have forged the past year. From road trips to sleepovers.
