Get ready for the return of the Starbury sneakers!

Last week, former NBA player and Chinese Basketball Association legend Stephon Marbury revealed he would be resurrecting his previous Starbury sneaker line. His original shoe company launched in 2006, enabling consumers to purchase pairs for only $15 bucks, but the line folded shortly after like his professional career in the states.

Throughout his time in the continent of Asia gaining international fame, the Brooklyn-born baller has learned more about his sneaker competitors in China – revealing his shoes, as well as Jordan Brand and Nike are made in the same factory for only $5 dollars.

No matter the quality and design, prices are continuing to increase and become less affordable to the average consumer. Marbury went to social media over the weekend to call out his competitors, prompting a worker from Nike Inc. to actually respond. Take a look at the back-and-forth war of words below, as well as designs for his new re-launch of the Starbury collection.
