Last weekend, Sony Pictures shocked the world with their Hotel Transylvania 2 film dominating the box offices with over $50 million for its opening weekend. As The Intern opened to a lackluster $20 million gross last Friday, we have quiet weekend at the box offices beginning tonight. While there’s no major blockbuster release, it’s always an exciting time when the final quarter of the year begins for a few surprise gems to sneak up and make an impersonation for the Academy Awards.
