Are you willing to spend extra to get rid of the ads?
Over the summer, it was reported that HULU was looking to extend its streaming service with an ad-free premium tier subscription. After months of teasing, the company has officially rolled out their ad-free option, at the price of $11.99 a month. While maintaining its $7.99 service with quote-on-quote “limited commercials,” we’re assuming the four dollar increase is catered towards the users who watch (binge) nothing but Hulu in their leisure time. Both plans will essentially offer the same programming, but the likes of Agents of Shield, Scandal, New Girl, Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder will have a 15-second pre-roll and 30-second post roll ad.
