With Entourage having success at the theaters, Mark Wahlberg is looking to create TV magic once again with his new comedy-drama, Ballers. The new series centers on a group of football players, alongside their families, friends and handlers within the city of Miami. Dwayne Johnson assumes the role of retired Miami Dolphin legend Spencer Strassmore, who’s looking to reinvent his life off the field – with maintaining his previous lifestyle on the field as a champion to help newcomer players avoid being part of the “going broke” epidemic plaguing the league.
While there’s obvious temptation around within South Beach, Mr. Strassmore looks to upstart his new sports management agency, with helping his clients keep their heads on shoulders.
