Common Talks Oprah OSCARS Incident & Rare Michael Jordan Childhood Story

Watch Common’s interview with Jimmy Kimmel

Last Sunday, Common Sense and John Legend won Best Original Song for Glory at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards. The two soon stole the show with an emotional speech that left those in attendance and watching in tears. Common, who was still in Los Angeles over the week soaking in the milestone achievement, made his way over to Hollywood to sit-down with Jimmy Kimmel. However, before the two accepted the award, the Chicago rapper drew some controversy in what looked to be a snub to a high-five to mogul Oprah Winfrey.

He soon revealed he called her the next day and said it was an accident of being in the moment, but Jimmy jokingly said what he did should be against the law. The interview continued with Common revealing a rare childhood story of being a Chicago Bulls ball-boy during Michael Jordan’s rookie season. Watch more from the interview below, where he details a botched opportunity of making $5 dollars with the G.O.A.T.
