Add ‘Benched’ to your fall TV DVR or HULU playlist
USA Network has really been home to a few quality gems over the last few years; highlighted by the likes of Suits, Royal Pains and White Collar. While those previously mentioned shows take a serious approach, we see the network receiving some much needed comedic relief in Michaela Watkins and Damon Jones new series Benched.
The series stars Eliza Coupe (known from our beloved Happy Endings) as a tough criminal court attorney, who loses her boyfriend through a phone call and a high-powered position she thought she was next in line for – all on the same day. After abruptly walking out with a memorable grand exit, she soon finds herself in a lower paying public defender environment and shockingly runs into her former fiancé in an unlikely scenario.
