Adidas Originals pays homage to all-time scoring leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with the release of the new “Blueprint” Jabbar Hi. The Laker Legend has done a lot for the game of basketball and has been one of the most successful big men to ever step foot on the court, picking up 3 consecutive NCAA championships, 6 NBA championships, 6 NBA MVP awards, and much more. With Adidas Originals on focusing on bringing back some of their classic hardwood silhouettes for 2014, it was only right that the Jabbar would make their return.
The Blueprint Jabbar Hi’s feature a Tyvek blue upper, giving the shoe the look of an actual blueprint. The kicks come with a special Jabbar Blueprint spread poster made by Doug Cunningham and Jason Noto.
In the video after the jump, Kareem talks about his” the day the slam dunk” in a funny spoof about his college years at UCLA. The Blueprint Jabbar Hi’s will be February 14th at Adidas originals retailers, and online. Check out images below.
