NBA LIVE 15 “Offensive Gameplay Improvements” Vlog

It’ll be difficult for even the hardcore hoopers to ignore NBA LIVE this year.

Following a slight delay, NBA LIVE 15 is still on track to arrive this month on October 28th. While this marks the first true next-generation in comparison to what many felt was a port last year, EA Tiburon is putting the finishing touches on the game before it goes GOLD in a few days. If you were intrigued to keep an eye on the forthcoming hardwood title following its debut gameplay trailer last month, a complete overhaul for the game is showcased in its new offensive improvements trailer; which we’re personally looking forward to.

Responsive controls and animation quality has been properly corrected this year, with even the return of freestyle passing making a return. On the move dribbling, collision contact in the paint and shot feedback has also been improved this season. After you watch the trailer below, get more in-depth detail in the notes below – then look for the defensive improvements to arrive in the coming days.

OVERALL OFFENSE

Playcalling has been simplified, allowing players to call quick action plays at the press of a button. This will get your players moving on offense by setting screens, cutting to the basket, or getting to open spots on the floor. Use this to quickly exploit a mismatch or opportunity once it presents itself.

SHOT FEEDBACK

NBA LIVE 15 includes a new Shot Feedback system that gives you insight into two things: Shot Timing and Shot Quality.

Shot Timing is displayed in the top left corner of the screen as either Early, Slightly Early, Great, Slightly Late, or Late. You want to release your shot at the top of your player’s shooting animation for the best result.

SHOT QUALITY

The outer ring shows a player’s shot rating from different areas on the court. The better a shooter is from a particular spot, the more bars you’ll see. Open looks are indicated with a green meter, while a yellow/red meter shows that your player is guarded.
