Fans of the survivor horror shooter Resident Evil 6 will be getting their second batch of multiplayer DLC in March with “Siege.” In late December we got 3 new modes Predator, Survivors and Onslaught which was the first installment in the DLC series for RE6 as they were already hard at work for a follow-up pack. The premise behind Siege is as follows,
An online multiplayer mode for two to six players, Siege sees a lone AI-controlled rookie BSAA agent in trouble and in need of help. Players will split into two teams with one assuming control of enemy creatures who are trying to take down the rookie, while the other team selects playable characters from the main game and must keep him alive. Each game consists of two rounds with teams switching between the human and enemy roles. The human team wins a round if the BSAA agent survives, while the enemies win if they can defeat him.
PlayStation 3 owners who were victim to timed-exclusive DLC for Xbox 360 will be able to check “Survivors, Predator and Onslaught” game odd on modes next month in February and will get the Siege mode day one with its counterpart.
The PC version of RE6 will contain an exclusive “Mercenaries: No Mercy” pushing the game-play up to 11 making more enemies on screen seen at once than ever. The game releases on Microsoft Windows, March 22nd as games will be able to get Survivors, Predator, Onslaught and Siege shortly after launch with any future DLC for consoles available for free on PC.
