A First Look at “Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5”

Tony Hawk 5 is returning to consoles this fall!

Just last month, we were having flashbacks of our childhood with the pending announcement of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skate 5. Well, after weeks of speculation and teasing, publisher Activision and developer Robomodo have made the official announcement of the skater returning back to its classic gameplay.

Unfortunately, this means no new engine, same linear controls and rough graphics that you can see pictured above and below (low resolution, but we don’t expect much to change in final version). The biggest eye raisers of the pending PlayStation 4 and Xbox One title, is no PC version mentioned at all. New gameplay additions like power-ups and the ability to shoot projectiles for specific missions. While we have some mild interest at the moment, we’ll reserve judgment until we play the title at e3 or see THPS5 in action within the next 30 days.
