Just in case Nicki Minaj’s actual twerking in the first remix wasn’t enough, Busta Rhymes fires back with a posse remix of his single “Twerk It.” Like Baskin Robbins, he has different flavors to choose from: The islanders, the Trap Muzik aficionados, coke boys in NY, and that R&B tweak. It’s like three different songs all in one.
Ne-Yo and Rita Ora kicked off the new year with MTV for their Club NYE 2013 celebration, performing some of their smash hits of the year. With Snooki serving as host, Rita Ora took the stage to perform “How We Do (Party),” while Ne-Yo gave the crowd a performance of his platinum single “Let Me Love You.”
Before Rita jumped on stage, Ne-Yo told Snooki he would love to see R&B make a come back (specifically slow jams) in 2013. We’ve BEEN saying this. Hopefully it goes down.
Watch Rita’s contribution up top and Ne-Yo shut it down below.
Although 2 Chainz made a small cameo at the beginning of last night’s Saturday Night Live, Ne-Yo was the musical guest throughout the show. The crazy release of videos continues this week as we said goodbye to November and dove in to the Christmas ready December. The 4th quarter is coming to a close very quickly, and this is when it’s crunch time for some artists. Some A-list rappers stepped up to the plate again, but the new blood continues to impress week by week.
The craziest video of the week goes to a producer, though. But expect to see Pittsburgh, Philly, New Jersey, the Bay Area, and Queens all representing.
After releasing the smash hit “Let Me Love You” and watching it climb up the top of the Hot 100 charts, Ne-Yo is returning with the new single off R.E.D., the Fabolous and Diddy-featured “Should Be You.” The track has a bit of that ’90s feel, but it’s surprisingly not a dance record.
Be sure to support Ne-Yo and cop his album if you haven’t already.
Friday night, many people who looked up to and were touched by Whitney Houston, all gathered and payed homage to her life for We Will Always Love You, A GRAMMY Salute To Whitney Houston special on CBS. Artists like Britney Spears, LL Cool J, Halle Berry and Clive Davis shared their good words about what Whitney meant to them.
Among the performers, Jennifer Hudson kicked off the 1-hour special by performing a medley of “I’m Every Woman,” “How Will I Know,” and “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me).” Ne-Yo also took the stage and gave an amazing rendition of The Preacher’s Wife track “I Believe in You and Me.” Celine Dion, CeCe Winans and Yolanda Adams all graced the stage as well, singing some of their favorite Whitney tracks.
Ne-Yo was the next guest to stop by Chelsea Lately on E! with the releases of his newest album “R.E.D.” In this clip he speaks on the birth of two new kids and how he dedicated one of the songs on the album to his daughter titled “Alone With You.” Coincidentally, Taylor Swift releases her album “Red” last month using the same album title which Ne-Yo thought it was cool stating that great minds think alike.
The two share a few sarcastic jokes where Ne-Yo ends the interview talking about the three versions of the album and letting his fans down with his last album which his new album is receiving well reviews.

Ne-Yo recently chopped it up with Rap-Up TV to talk on the reasoning for dropping his new album, R.E.D., on November 6th, which is also Election Day. He also talks on his support for President Obama, and shares his dreams of collaborating with the President & Kanye West on a record. Hey, we’re all in for that one, too.
He also speaks on his love for Nicki Minaj (for the same reasons we love her), and says Frank Ocean & Taylor Swift are on the top of his list of favorite artists/songwriters.
Ne-Yo’s fifth studio album R.E.D. drops November 6th.
We’ve been wondering where the baby music has been lately. We’ve heard some stuff drop here and there, but we remember cooking up mixes every month at the rate R&B was popping off back in the good days. They just don’t make R&B like they used to.
That is until we heard Miguel’s Kaleidoscope Dream (it dropped this past week). Yeah, Trey Songz and Usher can still hold the crown when it comes to baby making songs at times, but you know the game now: Make an international club banger and who cares about smooth R&B when the world wants to party. Who has time to seduce these hoes?
But that’s why we’re making this for you, ladies. Because you still love hanging on to the dear hope of being courted by a decent young fella. A guy that can still light a candle and not manhandle you like a one night stand, but rather an actual female with feelings.
You just want to take it nice and slow.
Luckily for you, we’ve got the recipe. Back-to-back fire from the baby making music department. We must admit, not all of these songs are the fairy tales of your imagination. This isn’t the Boyz II Men “I’ll Make Love To You” hour. This is 2012.
