WWE Champion Seth Rollins Tears ACL & MLC after In-Ring Accident

The WWE brand gets hurt with an injury to their top star

Wednesday night, WWE had a live event in Dublin, Ireland and their World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was in a house show match against Kane. On a routine top-rope suplex from the big red machine, Rollins landed awkwardly on his leg, tearing both his ACL, MCL and medial meniscus.

The 29-year-old was originally set to defend his title against Roman Reigns at Survivor Series, but Vince McMahon has now made changes to that event with a new tournament to determine a new champion. John Cena, who was originally set to enjoy an extended amount of time in vacation, will likely be brought back for his star power in the company in time for January’s Royal Rumble.

Whether Cena returns earlier than expected will be decided in the coming weeks, but Seth is now expected to mix six to nine month of action. You can take a look at the freak accident above.
