Tony Allen Puts Glen Davis in the Freezer for Nasty Fake Layup

Glen Davis becomes victim to rare ‘and-1-like’ move from Allen

Sunday night, the Memphis Grizzlies were host to the Los Angeles Clippers. While the long-time feuding teams are fighting for positioning in the Western Conference with the Oklahoma City Thunder hindered by injuries, Memphis is out the gate with the league’s best record. The game was so one-sided, Los Angeles’ highest rebounder was Spencer Hawes with 10 – three more than Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan combined.

During the second quarter, Tony Allen would expose the team’s defense on a simple pick and drive play with Marc Gasol. Undersized Glen “Big Baby” Davis would get placed in the freezer by the driving Allen on a behind-the-back and fake layup. Memphis would go onto win the game 107-91, led by Gasol on 30 points.
