Welcome to the world of Lance Stephenson in South Brooklyn
The next episode of Complex Original series The Neighborhood, heads to the lower division of Brooklyn, for a tour of Lance Stephenson’s hometown. Much like the man he works for, Michael Jordan, Lance Stephenson was born in Kings County and took us on a tour of his neighborhood in Coney Island (that’s Brooklyn, though).
The greatest NYC high-school basketball player of all time showed us the same court he grew up on as a kid and discussed having to force his way to stay on the playgrounds, that were dominated by older youths at the time. After using the game to stay away from surrounding temptations that occur when you’re in the hood, Lance plotted a stint University of Cincinnati to transition to a superstar he’s becoming right now before our eyes.
