The Most Hated NBA Teams in the United States

While the populous accounted for in the voting for this map doesn’t reflect the entire United States, it comes from a credited source: Reddit readers. More than 42,000 of them actually. The estimate might be a little rough, but it shouldn’t be too far off.

With no surprise, the Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat are the country’s most hated, with a whopping 24 and 21 states hating them, respectively (yes, Ohio was a landslide vote against the Heat). Surprisingly enough, California voters also rooted against the Lakers, while Wisconsin proved to be Chicago Bulls haters.

Also on the map, you can see the state of Washington hates the Oklahoma City Thunder, probably because they took the team away from Seattle and they’re still holding a grudge. Considering the Grizzlies are in Tennessee, we can see why that state hates the Clippers. Apparently, Mississippi does too.

If the Cleveland Cavaliers ever pull off that trade for Kevin Love, we’re sure this map will change soon and we can all throw the Cavs into the mix.
